Approved by General Administration of Press and Publication, supervised by China’s Ministry of Education, published by Dalian University of Technology (DUT), Journal of Dalian University of Technology (Social Sciences) is a comprehensive and theoretical periodical publication (quarterly) in social sciences issued domestically and abroad. It covers the subjects of Sciences of Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences of Management, including the inter-disciplinary subjects and the latest and most cutting-edge subjects. It focuses on the research of basic, hot-spot, difficult and cutting-edge issues of the disciplinary fields in Humanities, Social Sciences, and enhances in the exploration of the major theoretical and practical issues in the fields of Politics, Economy, Culture, and Education, etc. The main columns include: Economy and Management, Public Administration, Research on Education, Research on Philosophy, Technological Ethics, Studies of Science in Science and Management of Technologies, Research on Chinese Traditional Culture, Linguistics and Literature, Politics and Law, Research on History, Journalism and Communication, etc.
Founded in 1999, it insists on the idea of “serve DUT, face whole country and towards the world”, the goal of being one of the top academic periodicals of China, the standard of “high starting point, high quality, high grade, standardization”, implements “High Quality Strategy” and “characteristic strategy”. It closely combines disciplinary advantages of DUT and regional characteristics, works hard to gather advantages, and strives to forge a high quality periodical. It has been selected as a source periodical of CSSCI since 2007. Meanwhile, in July of 2000, it was collected as one of the earliest journal of China by Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), which is a famous international retrieval organization. It was voted as “The Top 100 Social Science Journals of China”, “Excellent Social Science Journals”, and the column of “Economics and Management” has been voted as one of “The Characteristic Columns of National Social Sciences Journals”.
